A vision board can be one of the greatest tools you can have in creating an Ageless Vibe with the Law of Attraction!
Not only is a vision board a terrific way to begin visioning what an ageless vibe may look and feel like to you, a vision board is also one of the best tools you’ll have when you begin to identify what may stand between you and your actually having that ageless vibe and being that ageless version of yourself, and I go more into this in another post.
For now, let’s talk about creating your vision board…
With a vision board, you can let your imagination run free as you select pictures, words, quotes, anything that inspires you… and add them to your board… what fun!
So how do you go about creating your own vision board?
First, let’s start with what to add to your vision board.
Your vision board is all about you, and is an expression of your ideas and beliefs and what you want for yourself, so make it personal to you. Add pictures of people, places, situations, and things that represent what having an ageless vibe is to you. You could add pictures of people who look or embody what ageless looks and feels like; pictures of ageless hairstyles, fashion, skin care and makeup; pictures of fitness or other activities that feel ageless; pictures of a happy couple holding hands looking so in love and absolutely ageless; pictures of what great health and wellness looks like to you; pictures of anything that matches what you feel ageless would look and feel like…
Add quotes that uplift and inspire you. Most of us have a favorite quote or two… if it adds to your life, if it inspires you to feel more ageless, add it to your board…
Add words that uplift and inspire you… individual words on their own have tremendous power in the feelings they create within us. Maybe add a word like Strong, Feminine, Fit, Healthy, Natural, Wellness, Beautiful, Intelligent, Loved, Cherished, Ageless, Youthful…whatever words you feel inspired by.
You can find your pictures, quotes, words, and inspiration in magazines; you can print them out from the internet; or you can even create your own…
Your possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Find, create, and add anything that inspires and encourages you!
Next, let’s talk about some of the different types of Vision Boards…
The Poster Board Vision Board: This is probably the most common way of creating a vision board.
Here, you select a piece of poster board, of the size and color that suits you, and you add your pictures, quotes, words and inspirations to your board.
Add your items with glue, tape, or some other sort of adhesive.
Make your board personal; Make it you. If you like, you can decorate your board with ribbon, glitter, pieces of fabric…
You can collect the items you wish to add beforehand and then add them all at once. You can start your vision board with only a few items and add items over time as you find them. You can even create more than one vision board; maybe you’d like different boards for specific areas of your life; a relationship board, a wellness board, an abundance board, a dream home board, an ageless board… there are no limits!
Similar to the poster board is the Bulletin Board Vision Board:
Here, the same ideas apply, but instead of a poster board, you pin your items to a bulletin board. If you’re crafty, you can design a gorgeous frame for your bulletin board and make it even more personalized.
There are pin boards and also magnetic boards… choose whatever works for you.
And then, there’s one of my preferred ways of creating a vision board, and this is the Binder Vision Board:
I like the binder vision board because I am somewhat of a private person when it comes to my dreams and I like the idea of having my binder full of dreams that I can keep in a more private and personal location and open up and look through whenever I wish, rather than a big poster board or pin board that might be on display and that anyone could see.
To create a binder vision board, just select a three ring binder that appeals to you… make it a big one… it has to hold your big dreams and visions…
You’ll also want to purchase a large stack of plastic sheet protectors for your binder and insert two sheets of paper into each sheet protector so as to divide the front of your page and the back of your page. These papers will also serve as the ‘poster board’ where you will glue your pictures, quotes, words, and inspirations. For the paper, I would suggest a little heavier duty paper since you are going to be attaching your pictures, inspirational words, and quotes to it.
These are the main ‘hard copy’ ways of creating a vision board.
There are also several software programs on the internet that assist you in creating a vision board. I haven’t used any of them or explored them at all, so I can’t make any recommendations, but a quick ‘Search’ should get you started if you feel inclined to go in this direction.
And last, but certainly not least… there is Pinterest… one of my favorite places on the internet to get lost and, some might say, waste time… but truly, I never consider time spent letting my imagination run free to be time that was wasted.
With Pinterest, you can create your vision board(s) using pictures, quotes, inspirational words, etc… found anywhere around the internet. Imagine the possibilities… pretty much unlimited here…
Note: Just be mindful of copyright and privacy issues when you’re looking for pictures to pin. I only repin pictures already found on Pinterest, pin my own pictures, or pin pictures that come with a ‘Pin it’ button beneath them (This indicates the person who posted the picture is allowing it to be pinned… to me) While these measures don’t guarantee I’m not violating a copyright issue, they are a step in the right direction and, of course, I would gladly remove any picture I didn’t own if asked to by the original owner.
But back to the fun of Pinterest…
With Pinterest, you have the whole internet at your fingertips! If you go looking for it on the internet, you’re likely to find it… the pictures, quotes, words and inspirations you can find and add to your boards are pretty much unlimited…and you don’t have to go through the cutting, the pasting, etc… just click a button and it’s pinned to your board!
And you don’t have to stop with one board. You can create boards for any category you can imagine…. Ageless Vibe, Dream Home, Dream Relationship, Healthy & Fit, Inspirational Quotes… the possibilities are only limited by your imagination and your desire.
If privacy is an issue, Pinterest has an answer for this. You are allowed to create ‘Secret Boards’, which, according to Pinterest, make these boards only visible to you and anyone you may invite to to view your ‘Secret Boards’… and, if you later decide you’d like to share, you can always change your ‘Secret Boards’ to ‘Public’.
I’ve found that Pinterest either appeals to you… and if it does, it appeals to you in a big way… or it doesn’t really appeal to you at all, but if you haven’t checked it out yet, you may want to.
Whether you decide to go with traditional poster board or make use of technology in creating your vision board, once you get started, you’ll be amazed how inspired you can become from viewing what you’ve put together. Viewing your vision board regularly can be a great help in getting you into an ageless vibe and adding more energy and power to manifesting your most ageless version of yourself.
There is also another powerful benefit of having a vision board that many who use them overlook. Your vision board can be a great tool in helping to identify anything that may be standing in your way to actually having an ageless vibe and being more of that ageless version of yourself. So, what are you waiting for??? Get to creating that Vision Board… and have fun with it!
