Many new to the Law of Attraction begin with the idea that the Law of Attraction is about attracting ‘things’ and are disappointed when they find that it’s more so about attracting a matching state of being to the vibration we are putting out.
As a reminder, our vibration is created by our state of being, which is basically the way we feel. And the way we feel, not necessarily just emotions but more of our overall feeling, is influenced by our thoughts, our focus, our environment, our beliefs, our values, and our desires.
But back to those who are looking to to attract ‘things’ and are disappointed to find that they are attracting more of a state of being. If you’re one of them, don’t despair, I have some good news for you… that state of being is precisely the thing that is going to allow you to attract the ‘things’ you want!
So, how does this work?
Think about this. The reason you want what you want is because you believe it’s going to make you feel good in some way. Sure, you may want that car, or that house, or that dress… or you may want to have a more fit figure, or to look like an ageless beauty, but the reason you want these things is because you believe having them or being them will feel good to you.
So, what you’re really after is that feeling of feeling good!
Yes, Krystal, this is true, but I still want my things…
Of course you still want your things… and here’s the beauty of it… it is within that feeling good state of being that the Law of Attraction will deliver the people, circumstances, events… and material things that match that good feeling to you.
The law of attraction may feel like magic, but, in reality, it’s simply the process of like energy attracting like energy.
Think about this… if you believed that having that car, or that house, or that dress, or having that ideal figure, or looking like an ageless beauty was going to make you feel bad, you wouldn’t even want them.
Or how about this? If you believed that having or being those things would make you feel bad in some way, and you got into a real bad feeling state of being that matched the way you would feel in having or being those things, you could still attract them because they would be a vibrational match to your state of being.
And I can hear some of you letting out a relieved sigh, “Well… maybe that would be easier?”
But here’s the catch.
The law of attraction doesn’t read the vibration that you are pretending to be, it reads the vibration that you are actually being. You can’t fool the law of attraction. You can’t pretend that having that car or that fit figure will make you feel bad and attract it by going around being a grump. It just doesn’t work that way.
Don’t get me wrong, you can and will attract matching energy when you are in a feeling bad state of being, but most of us don’t want to attract the things that make us feel bad, and the only things we will attract by being in a feeling bad state of being is the people, circumstances, and situations that genuinely make us feel bad.
You have to feel good to attract the things that you believe will make you feel good.
And you can do that that right now, right? You hold all of the power in how you feel. That car, or that house, or that dress, or having that ideal figure, or looking like an ageless beauty have no power in making you feel good. That power is all within you.
At every moment, you have the opportunity to choose your feelings. Choose the feelings you would like to feel more of. Choose the feelings that most closely match the way you would feel if you had everything you are asking for. Choose those feelings and stay in them as much as possible, not necessarily because you want something, but just because they feel good!
