In this clip,, the question is asked, “Is there a difference between the physical manifestations of aging and decline?”
AH repies, “If we were standing in your physical shoes, we would accept change, but we wouldn’t call it decline.”

Abraham Hicks – The difference between Natural Aging and Decline
HS (Hot Seat): I have a quick question about the difference between the physical manifestations of aging versus illness. How do you distinguish between the two?
AH (Abraham Hicks): How do you?
HS: I don’t I don’t know I’m curious, I have a pain in my thumb, is it resistant or is it arthritis?
AH: Arthritis is resistance
HS: In all cases?
AH: In every case.
HS: Okay. So, are wrinkles?
AH: All decline is resistance.
HS: Even wrinkles? And grey hair?
AH: All decline is resistance. So, the distinction that you’re wanting to make is… Is moving through time, if there is there any natural evolution? And we say, yes, you can walk now and you have teeth.
AH: But you didn’t call that decline. So, you were born, at what point do you decide that the decline starts? As soon as you’re out of the womb, you start declining… is that the way it goes?
HS: No. I understand your question.
AH: It’s an impertinent question, isn’t it? Because we’re wanting to sort of jolt you into an awareness that you get to decide when you have begun your decline. Or you can you can decide that you are eternally evolving and becoming. And if we were standing in your physical shoes, we would accept change, but we wouldn’t call it decline.
AH: Well, it’s an interesting thing that humans do because, you look at your population and you find all of these things that you don’t want that are around you all the time. And then you focus on them and use them as your reason to pinch yourself off from source. And pinching yourself off from source is your true decline… and it’s sudden. In other words, you get into a place where you’re not allowing source to flow through you and your devastatingly tired in the moment. In other words, negative emotion can bring you right to your knees fast. And so, what most humans are regarding as effective aging or effectively moving through time is learning to tolerate negative emotion. It’s like how much negative emotion can I survive? It’s sort of the way that most humans are approaching life. And it is from that platform that these questions are coming forth. Because when you are really in sync with Source Energy, you’re not finding fault or lack in anything about your physical experience. Your energy continues to flow. The feeling of wrinkles… what’s up with that? In other words, if everything is about the way you feel, and if the way you feel isn’t contingent upon ‘what is’, then don’t you have the potential of being happy at all times? And as you begin to do that, you will begin to discover that your physical apparatuses will begin to take on the characteristics of that further allowance of Source Energy for a longer period of time in your physical body. In other words, decline does not begin until you begin to pinch off the resources that are flowing to you. So, there is potential that you could never decline. As long as this time-space reality has the wherewithal to keep inspiring you to the new idea, and if you can stay in alignment with it, there would be no decline. But the tricky thing is, is to be physically focused in this world, with so much decline and comparison to observe, without it getting stuck in your vibrational craw and being the reason that you are using for your deprivation of the energy that would flow otherwise. When you accept that you are an eternal being, then you accept that there is no decline. There is only expansion, evolution, becoming, you see. And we want you to know that that can be characteristic of your physical time in your physical body as well, but it’s going to take some serious emotional discovery. You have to get to the place where you care about how you feel more than anything else, so much more than anything else, that you are unwilling to look at things that formerly have caused you concern or worry. And when you get there… ah… that’s the freedom that you’re all looking for, and the ramifications of it will be profound. There are cultures in your world today that revere the aged, and so signs of age are not abhorred, but encouraged or revered. But each of you gets to decide what’s beautiful to you. There are things that people do in some cultures that you don’t think are all that beautiful, and they think are very very beautiful. So it’s all a personal choice and perspective, isn’t it? So is your question “do I have to decline?” The answer is no, never. So, what do you think the emotion is that is at the heart of this discussion?
HS: I’m not sure.
AH: What do you think the emotion is that’s at the heart of this discussion?
HS: I think, fear of being out of control.
AH: So, what you what is the emotion that you would like to be your manifestation? What is it that you want to conjure or create?
HS: To decide what I want and go there.
SH: Give us more…
HS: To follow that creative spark without…
AH: What is the emotion?
AH: Every emotion is ultimately degrees of alignment with source or not. In other words, every emotion is that. But there are lots of words that you can use along the way to describe. So, I’m not wanting the fear of decline. I’m not wanting the fear of sickness or illness. So what is it you’re wanting? I’m wanting the confidence of my eternalness. I’m wanting the confidence of my longevity. I’m wanting the certainty of my well-being. I’m wanting to know my robustness. And so, can you see that your life is just a series of moments? And, if in this moment, your focused on something that makes you feel exhilarated. And, this moment, you’re focused upon something that makes you feel robust. And this moment, you’re focused on something that is fun… Can you see that by utilizing the power of your mind, because you care about the way you feel, that you would consistently hold yourself in alignment with the source within you? And as you do that then that eternalness that your source knows is now yours in this moment and your physical apparatus would have to reflect it. You see, your source has it figured out because your source just keeps flowing. Your source doesn’t demand one body to come forward and be the continuity through which your eternal source flows. Source doesn’t care if this body comes another one comes and another one comes another one comes, because the source within you knows the eternal nature of your being. So the source within you is not clinging to this temporary shell, which is the expression of that which it is, because the source within you knows there’s no ending. There will always be another and another and another and another. But humans have pinched yourself off for the most part from that knowing. Almost no one really gets it that you’re eternal. So they’re clinging to this shell of a body as if it’s the only thing you’ve got, worried “Oh there’s a wrinkle, I’m on my way out” What’s the label for that? And so you start tensing. And in the same way, that in Jerry’s question was, “Why do they have to go all the way down, to the croaking experience before they bounce back up?” It’s because you’re clinging and trying to hold to something that you don’t want to lose. When you understand there’s no way you could ever lose it, then you give up that battle right away and then you thrive and soar and don’t get wrinkles…
